Membership is open to all students, preferably those enrolled in engineering courses or interested in enrolling. You don't need prior experience, just curiosity about engineering.
CES meets once a week for 45 minutes, with additional sessions as needed based on competition schedules.
Founder & President
James founded the Culver Engineering Society during his junior year at Culver Academies. His interest in engineering took root the summer between his freshman and sophomore year, when a University of Chicago course on environmental sustainability sparked a lasting curiosity in how design and technology solve real-world problems. Since then, he's worked through Culver's engineering course sequence, EG500, EG700, and the EG800-2T Honors Seminar, and set out to build the peer community, mentorship, and competition opportunities he wished existed when he was first choosing his own path. James plans to keep growing CES's ties to engineering universities, service academies, and industry partners so future Culver students have an easier road into engineering than he did.
